Grow Bini Grow!

Bini had his 18 month Dr's appointment this week

Here are his stats

He weights 28 lbs, that's 80% (for a boy who a year ago wasn't even on the charts!)

and is 33 inches tall, that's 75 % !! Way to grow Bini!!

He is quite a chatty boy! He's using over 75 words regularly and beginning to use longer statements like "Mommy read book" and "Ella come back!"

One of his favorite words is "Ella" and he yells it whenever we're out of the house and he can't see her. It makes us laugh because the way he yells it sounds so much like Marlon Brando yelling "Stella!" in A Street Car named Desire.

He's becoming quite the little comedian. Ella was playing in the yard with friends the other day so Bini did not want to take his nap. I went in the room, picked him out of his crib and said "Bini, you need to sleep ..." to which he reached up grabbed my nose and said "HONK" (I don't know where he learned to do that) and then he sniffed my breath said "pee ewe" and pretended to pass out by tipping himself sideways. (I feel the need to add that I had just brushed my teeth so he was just being silly) Of course when he gets a laugh he repeats the action/ words over and over again.

He also loves to pretend he's a dog. He'll get on his hand and knees, wiggle his body and stick out his tongue. He is such a goof and it's a total answer to prayer (yes, I've prayed my children will have a good sense of humor, I fear I wouldn't know how to relate to a serious child)

After being home for a few months Bini had begun crying for needs to be met, but lately his cry has changed. He is getting to be a toddler and has been throwing some mini temper tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants or when he gets frustrated.

He is also very busy, pulling everything out of cabinets, getting into everything! Somedays I call him my little tornado and just have to remember to be grateful for his curios mind.
