Today we were also able to talk more about why she had to have an operation and she seems to be doing better with the fact that we brought her here. This was a conversation we had yesterday "mommy, I told you I didn't want to come to the hospital" me- "I know hunny, I wish you didn't have to be here." Ella- " No mommy, you want me to be here and I'm frustrated with you!" As hard as that was to hear, we are grateful that we can now work through those feelings.
Greg and I were able to relax a little bit today, relieved that recovery is under way. We laughed with friends and each other and had a good talk about all we've been processing. Sometimes I get hit by a wave of "life is not normal, what are you doing smiling." But my stress is not going to improve any outcomes, so I will accept the peace I feel and rejoice in the God on whom I am leaning so heavily!

I love the new pic you have atop your blog! Precious!
Glad that Ella is talking with you and you guys are able to have those conversations about WHY she is there undergoing all this. It must be hard for her to understand. You all are in my prayers.
PRAISING GOD OVER HERE that Ella is adjusting and the pain is less!!! Continuing to think of and pray for you all!!!!
Praying you hear the best possible news soon and that Ella recovers comfortably!
I'm so impressed that she can express her feelings so well, and so thankful Ella has parents who will let her express those feeling honestly. I know it is a lot to process. Keep praying, and know that I am as well.
Greg and Stephanie,
I was so excited to see that you had read our blog in the past day or two, and as a result, I was able to click over to your blog for the first time tonight.
I was thrilled to see the picture of Ella and Bini at the top of your blog, but then my jaw dropped as I read your profile and realized all you have been going through during the past few days.
We are on our knees tonight for Ella. She is so beautiful in your photos and so articulate! I believe that God has a great purpose in all things and we are trusting Him to heal her and to cover you all with His peace during this time.
Wish we were there to give hugs!
Love,
The Whaleys
