Mount Desert Island, Maine
Mimi and Pubah came to visit, and after a few days enjoying the Boston area we traveled along the coast up to Mount Desert Island, Maine. We spent time in Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor and then moved to SW Harbor often called "the quiet side" of the Island. The Island has a special place in my heart since I lived there for about 6 months after graduating from college. My friend Christina and I worked as wiatresses at the Claremont Hotel and spent most of our time hiking, canoeing, and enjoying the islands beauty.

A Picnic of Lobster Rolls. Mimi had lobster 6 times during her visit!

Back when I lived up here I'd spend rainy afternoons reading under this bridge in Acadia National Park.

This was our cabin at the Claremont Hotel. It was so peaceful!
In the mornings I'd give Ella a scavenger hunt list and she'd try and find her "treasures" as I tried to read. Unfortunately for me she was very quick finding her treasures such as a stick with a "Y" in it and a rock with one flat side.
Ella loves lobster almost as much as Mimi does! Fortunately at under $7/lb it was no problem to get her one all for herself.

Resting and Reading at the Boat House. Greg, Ella and I came down here at night and the stars were just amazing. Of course nothing is ever truly peaceful when your with a two and three-fourth year old (as Ella now states her age to be) and she belted out "twinkle, twinkle, little star" over and over again getting louder and faster each time until I told her "Ella your sound like a rock star." She leaned over, put her hand on my face and said "mommy, you are so sweet!" And the chatter continued.....

We love it up here!

Ha ha! "she belted out 'twinkle, twinkle, little star' over and over again getting louder and faster each time until I told her 'Ella your sound like a rock star.' She leaned over, put her hand on my face and said 'mommy, you are so sweet!' And the chatter continued..."
I love it! Isn't that life with a two-year-old? They are so cute, but sometimes you are just too annoyed to appreciate it.
