Greg had the week off so we spent Tue-Thursday in the Northern Cascades (about 3 hr drive east of Bellingham.) "Camping" in a cabin at the KOA, enjoying the swimming pool and campfire. Thursday night and Saturday we did major nesting- rearranged furniture and getting geared up for having a baby in the house! (ahhh... we're so excited!)

Recital and Whinthrop
We weren't able to record Ella's dance recital but we took this video of her rehearsal, she is in yellow, the third girl from the center. Her recital was adorable and she was unbelievably excited about being on stage at the Mt. Baker theater where she has seen quite a few shows.

What do you wear?
To walk to the grocery store..And then there are the time you just want to look like dad, Nepoleon Dynamite style.
(The Gregs - i.e. Napoleon and Kip- snuck into the Ski to Sea parade and were a big hit!)

Bethany
The link below show the work that our adoption agency is doing in Ethiopia. We can not wait to travel to Ethiopia and meet B, but we are aware that our hearts will be broken for all the children still needing homes.

Panda the Pony
Ella got to ride a pony for the very first time on Mother's Day. Greg's cousin's wife and daughter came up to visit for the weekend, they live about 3 hrs south of us in WA. On Saturday we got to show them around Bellingham on on Sunday we joined them at the Equestrian Center where one of their horses is being trained. They brought their pony up with them for Ella to ride.
Ella greeted Panda the Pony
Ella, Elise and Panda
Ella was very quiet while riding, but her smile says it all.

Rubbing Panda's nose after the bridle was taking off.
Ella loved washing Panda! It reminded her of the computer game bellasara that she loves to play.
Ella got to sit on Elliot too. Elliot is Deanna's horse that is in training. I think this is the second time I've seen Ella in pants since she's turned 4- She wears dresses every day! In fact she wore a dress to church Sunday then we insisted she wear jeans to ride. We weren't home 5 minutes before she had changed herself back into a gown- After all, she is a princess.
