We got a very exciting e-mail yesterday letting us know that they have already obtained M's new birth certificate and passport! I'm amazed that it took less than 2 weeks from us passing court for them to get these. The next step is for them to submit our paperwork to the embassy and then we wait to be assigned a embassy date- which is when we get to travel and bring her home!
A family we had traveled with to court (and they passed on our 2nd court date) is in Ethiopia now picking up their daughter. Looking at their time line makes me think we could be traveling really soon. But then again, this is international adoption and snags can jump up anywhere.
