3 Months Cancer Free!

Last Wed we brought Ella to Children's for her first post treatment test: ultrasound, chest X-ray and blood work. Praise God, they found "no evidence of disease."
Ella has had so many vague complaints over the last month that have had us asking "is this her being a normal 5 year old or is this a sign of cancer?" Like when she asked to leave a birthday party after an hr because she was "just too tired," when she complains that her belly hurts, or of nausea, when she coughs a lot in her sleep, melts down too easily or sleeps past 9 am. I've had days when I've driven myself crazy wondering, praying that signs or recurrence would be obvious. Twice in the past month I've called her nurse practitioner to let them know our concerns and felt better in that they didn't think we needed to bring her in any sooner then previously planned.

After our appointments on Wed we headed down to the Great Wolf Lodge, it's a chain hotel with a huge indoor water park as well as a interactive "questing" game throughout the hotel. Ella had a blast!

The hotel had an animated show and story time each evening

Other fun we've had over the past month included the Mount Vernon Tulip Festival

Biniyam cracks me up with just how "boy" he is. He loves anything with wheels and he made the car sound without being taught. He also cracks up laughing anytime the word "poop" is said, I'm told it's just a boy thing.
Bini loves his little "lovey" sheep he calls "ba ba" he kisses and cuddles it as he falls asleep. He's so sweet.
The above photo is before shaving down Bini's hair. After picture is below.

Bini's new favorite things are climbing stairs and playing with the light switch.
least favorite- being contained so mom can do laundry.
