A new play area opened near us, it's full of bouncy play structures.

Ella giving us a show at the Lutz Children's Museum in Manchester, NH. She's been giving us many dinosaur shows at home too, always making sure to stop and ask us "Are you scared? Because this is just pretend!"

One small step for Ella

The day after eating out with her friend Trino, Ella woke up and with wide eyes "My paper (fortune cookie) said something is going to happen in my life! Something is going to happen in my life!" I tried to explain that lots of things were going to happen in her life, but then her eyes got even bigger "Maybe my dinosaur eggs are going to hatch!" she ran downstairs and sure enough they had.

Nana and Papa got Ella a beautiful new bird feeder and Christina gave her some cool binoculars. Ella loves watching the birds especially the Cardinals.

These fish are as big as Ella.

And how big is Ella? At her 3 year Dr.'s apt she weighted 36 lbs and was 40 inches (wow!) she's grown 4 inches in the past year! Her weight has also increased quite a bit so her Dr. told me to watch her BMI - I find this hilarious, just look at how skinny Ella is in the picture bellow.

Ella kicked me out of her room one day and put away all of her laundry all by herself!

You would not believe how excited this girl was about putting a shirt on the hanger.

She also helps me by washing dishes.

Ella made chocolate dinosaur lollipops to give to her friends for Valentines Day.

Summit always comes up to Ella's room for bed time stories, but this night he got extra cozy.

A winter hike with Trino, Ron and Christina

My favorite question Ella asked this month "Where was I before I was in your belly?"
My favorite statement - She opened the back door and yelled this at Summit "Bobo! Stop barking! It's not appropriate!"
Sweetest moment- this morning I awoke to her tugging on my arm (at 6:30!) asking softly "Has it been 2 weeks yet?" Greg left for Liberia 4 days ago and she knows he'll be back in 2 weeks. She misses her Daddy
Ella was also involved in a research study last month. They needed children with normal development to compare with their research for children with Autism. Ella played games (i.e. their tests) all day and I got to watch her through a one sided mirror. I wasn't even sure she'd talk with them but she really was herself, and at the end of the day said she wanted to come back and play again some time. It was fascinating for me to watch her and hear her answer their questions. (Q: What do you do when you cross the road- ella"Look both ways" Q: Why are there roofs on houses? ella- "Because God put them there")
