Hunter and Chase Come to Visit

Hunter and Chase, along with Auntie Faye, came to visit us for two fun filled weeks.
Bath time for everyone
The kids table at Thansgiving
Ella, Hunter and Nana made this awesome Gingerbread House
We visited the Children's Museum in Boston where Ella became a Cowgirl

There was a great climbing structure at the entrance to the museum. It was 3 stories high. Ella was good at climbing up but didn't want to climb down. Thankfully her big cousin Hunter was able to help her climb all the way up and get out at the top.

Hunter came with me to watch Ella at her Gymnastics class. She goes into class all by herself now! (she's 3rd from the left)
We were at the mall getting pictures taken of the cousins together so we thought we'd bring the kids to see Santa also. Ella didn't want to go near Santa but he asked her from a distance if she wanted a baby doll for Christmas. She said yes (Ella doesn't really play with dolls, she plays with dinosaurs and pretends they are her babies and she is a mommy dinosaur. But, since Santa suggested it, that is now what she is asking for for Christmas.) Later that night Ella told Greg "daddy, I asked God for a baby doll today" so we had to explain that God and Santa were not the same. "Then who is God?" Ella asked. "The creator and maker of all things" was dad's answer "Then where does God live?" was Ella's next question. Pretty deep discussions to have with an almost 3 year old.
The first snow fall of the season wasn't much and didn't last for long but Ella and Hunter were so excited they played outside in the cold for hours. This was the first time Hunter had seen snow.

Ella, Hunter and I got to see the underbelly of a horseshoe crab.
It was so nice of this Turtle to wave to the kids. Ella says this was her favorite part of the day.
Ella became a bubbleologist at the Science Museum

The Science Museum has a great dinosaur display

The kids found some huge puddles and got soaked.
Ella had a list of things she wanted to do with cousin Hunter when he was visiting from CA. Feeding the ducks in Boston Common was at the top of the list.

That's a pretty cool Science Museum. I love the picture of Ella as a cowgirl -- it looks like a professional portrait. Cool snow hat, too!
